Health and Safety Coordinator

Are you an experienced H&S Advisor/ Coordinator looking for an exciting and challenging role? We are working with a manufacturing business based in Burnley looking to recruit a H&S Coordinator to support the H&S Manager across 2 sites in the North West. The company is going through a period of change and as part of this needs candidates who have worked in forward thinking organisations previously who want to make an impact for the better. The role would essentially be to re-energise the way the business views health and safety. The ideal candidate will be hands on and enjoy engaging with operational staff across the business.

The role:
• Supporting operations staff at site level carrying out training and up-skilling the team
• Carrying out risk assessments
• Weekly reporting for leadership meetings
• Proactively identify areas for improvement across the 2 manufacturing sites

Your background.
We are looking for candidates who have previously worked within the manufacturing sector and have a good understanding of ISO 9001/14001/45001. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to engage operations staff with the need for H&S. You will be able to work under your own initiative and be happy working alone and as part of the wider operational team. This role requires travel between 2 sites and therefor a car will be provided but candidates must have a full clean UK Drivers Licence to apply.
