Salary: £37,128 p/a
Job type: Fixed term contract (maternity cover) – 41hrs p/w
Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join a well-established company, being instrumental in promoting a culture of safety, providing expert advise and ensuring compliance with regulations across all operations.
Job responsibilities:
• Ensure that all risk assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals
• Support the Site Management team on production of Risk Assessments and associated safe system of works for all activities
• The completion of Health and Safety Inspections, preparation of audit and inspection schedules and the preparation of various reports as requested
• Oversight of sub-contractor approval system and engagement with the supply chain on all health, safety and environmental matters
• Accident, Incident and Near Miss reporting and investigations
• Producing KPI data and trend analysis
• Ensuring the workforce is trained, competent and knowledgeable
• Ensure company procedures and practice are in line with industry standards and legislatively correct
• Continual promotion of a positive health & safety culture
• Reviewing the production of risk assessments and answering any health & safety queries
• Provide timely safety alerts based on Accident, Incident, Near Miss data, Site Safety Inspection data, and results or industry news/ campaigns/ HSE alerts
Key requirements:
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Qualification
• Membership of an appropriate professional body, e.g. IOSH
• Minimum 5yrs experience within Health & Safety
• Extensive experience of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation & its application
• Understand the application of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1975, CDM 2015 & all relevant legislation to Company Operations
• Working knowledge & competency of Microsoft 365 including Teams
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
• CDM 2015 Regulations awareness & knowledge
• Desirable: Additional specialist qualifications (First Aid at Work Scaffold Inspection, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, P400, P402 P405 etc)
