Description
Our client, who is a local housing provider, is seeking a qualified joiner to become an integral part of their responsive repair team.
Duties:-
- Completing Joinery repairs at our customers’ homes and in our empty properties to a high standard
- Ordering materials and managing stock
- Responsible for managing a company vehicle and commuting to/from work in company vehicle
- Ensuring all work orders are completed and minimise follow on work
- Prioritise workloads daily to deliver an excellent customer service
- Completing jobs right first time
- Ensuring safe working practices in line with current Health & Safety policy & procedures
- Maintaining a professional manner whilst completing repairs
Essential Criteria:-
- City & Guilds or NVQ2 or equivalent in Joinery
- Full driving licence
- Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
- Experience of working in the construction sector
- Good Health & Safety knowledge in the workplace
- Willingness to carry out multiskilling in other trades
Desirable Criteria:-
- Social housing experience
- Working in a property maintenance environment
- Ability to use a PDA or electronic job system
Salary: From £15.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 36.25 hours per week
