Deputy Manager – Supported Living Service
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Salary: £26,520 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (mix of days and nights on a 7-day rota, on-call once per week)
Contract: Permanent

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker within a supported living or mental health setting

  • Strong understanding of supporting adults with complex mental health needs, including self-harm and substance misuse

  • Confident leading and motivating a small team

  • Able to complete care plans, risk assessments, and staff supervisions

  • Flexible, compassionate, and organised

The Role

We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Deputy Manager to join a supported living service in Bolton that supports 14 adults with complex mental health needs.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for an experienced Support Worker ready to take the next step into management. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager to maintain high-quality, person-centred care and provide day-to-day leadership to a small, dedicated team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support for at least 3 days each week

  • Leading, mentoring, and supervising Support Workers

  • Completing risk assessments, care plans, and staff rotas

  • Supporting individuals to develop independent living skills

  • Assisting with daily living tasks, tenancy management, and medication

  • Promoting engagement in the community and ensuring positive outcomes
