Essential Requirements
Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential or support setting
Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people
Confident supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs
Flexible to work a range of shifts including days, nights and sleeps
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred

The Role
We are currently recruiting for Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our bank team supporting residential children’s homes across Lancashire and West Yorkshire.

You will be supporting children and young people who may present with emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing consistent support, structure and encouragement within a residential setting.

The role involves supporting young people with daily routines, encouraging positive behaviour, promoting independence and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. You will work as part of the wider care team to provide a safe, supportive and structured environment for the young people in the home.

Duties may include supporting with activities, emotional support, behaviour management, daily living skills and ensuring accurate recording and reporting in line with safeguarding procedures.
