Pay: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time / Casual Available
Hours: Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join a supported living service supporting young people aged 16–21, including care leavers and individuals transitioning towards independent adulthood.

This role involves providing practical, emotional, and person-centred support to help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and successfully move towards independent living within a supported accommodation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to young people within supported accommodation and household settings.
  • Support individuals to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and managing daily responsibilities.
  • Deliver emotional support and promote wellbeing, confidence, and resilience.
  • Support young people to access education, employment, training, and job application opportunities.
  • Assist with support planning, risk assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring.
  • Encourage independence, personal development, and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver high-quality support.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within support work, care, youth work, supported living, leaving care, or social care settings is desirable.
  • A caring, reliable, and professional approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and person-centred support.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where required.
