📄 12 Week Temp to Perm Contract

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting for 4 Residential Support Workers to support a 22 year old female with severe mental health needs within a residential setting.

This is a full time opportunity offering an initial 12 week temporary placement, with the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract following a successful probationary period.

This role would suit experienced support workers who are calm under pressure, resilient, compassionate, and confident managing behaviours that may challenge.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience within a support work or residential care setting
• PMVA, restraint or ligature training essential
• Up to date DBS certificate registered on the Update Service preferred
• Experience supporting individuals with severe mental health needs
• Strong safeguarding awareness
• Full right to work in the UK
• Flexible to work shifts including long days, evenings, waking nights and weekends where required

• Supporting a young female within a residential environment
• Providing person centred emotional and practical support
• Managing challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
• Promoting safety, wellbeing and independence
• Maintaining accurate daily records and incident reports
• Working closely with senior staff and healthcare professionals
• Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures at all times
