Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Service

Location: Longton, Preston

Salary

£50,000 per annum + up to £6,000 relocation package

40 hours per week

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in children’s residential care

• Registered Manager experience, or strong Deputy ready to step up

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children’s) or working towards

• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices

• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs

• Compassionate, resilient leadership with strong communication and organisational skills

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to launch and manage a brand-new 3-bed children’s home for young people aged 12–18 with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
You will:

• Lead the opening and daily operations of the service

• Create a safe, trauma-informed, therapeutic environment

• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards

• Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and care planning

• Supervise and develop a high-performing care team

• Build positive relationships with families and professionals

• Work alongside a Consultant Psychotherapist (1.5 days per month)
