Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Service
Location: Longton, Preston
Salary
£50,000 per annum + up to £6,000 relocation package
Hours
40 hours per week
Contract
Permanent, full-time
Essential Requirements
-
Minimum 2 years’ management experience in children’s residential care
-
Registered Manager experience, or strong Deputy ready to step up

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children’s) or working towards
-
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
-
Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
-
Compassionate, resilient leadership with strong communication and organisational skills
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to launch and manage a brand-new 3-bed children’s home for young people aged 12–18 with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
You will:

Lead the opening and daily operations of the service

Create a safe, trauma-informed, therapeutic environment

Ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards

Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and care planning
-
Supervise and develop a high-performing care team
-
Build positive relationships with families and professionals
-
Work alongside a Consultant Psychotherapist (1.5 days per month)
