Rotherwood Cares are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children’s residential care home supporting up
to 3 children in Longton, Preston.

This is a unique chance to be at the forefront of launching and shaping a new Ofsted registered service for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or
mental health needs.
This is more than a management role – it’s an opportunity to work for an established

What we’ll give you:
• Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum

What you’ll be doing:
• You will lead and develop a new residential care home supporting up to three
children and young people with complex needs
• Build and shape a positive, therapeutic environment
• Set and uphold high standards of care and practice, ensuring full Ofsted
compliance
• Work closely with a Consultant Psychotherapist to embed trauma-informed,
person-centred support strategies
• Oversee daily operations including staff management, rotas, budgets, health &
safety, and care planning
• Inspire, supervise and mentor a passionate team to deliver safe, nurturing and
outcomes-focused care
• Forge strong partnerships with families, professionals, and external agencies to
deliver the best outcomes for each child

Who you are:
• You’re an experienced, passionate, and compassionate leader who is ready for a
fresh challenge
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential
care setting
• A strong Deputy Manager would be considered (3 years plus experience in a
children's setting)
• A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality
standards
• A proven track record of supporting young people with learning disabilities,
autism or mental ill health
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
