The Role

We’re working exclusively with a busy, friendly finance team looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved in all areas of accounts.

You’ll support two lively businesses with purchase invoices, payments, petty cash, credit control, and general accounts admin. It’s varied, hands-on, and no two days are the same!

What You’ll Do

  • Process purchase invoices in Sage 50 (or similar)
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment runs
  • Handle transfers and freelancer payments
  • Manage petty cash, credit cards, and expense receipts
  • Handle discount management and assist with bank reconciliations
  • Match credit card receipts to statements, extract VAT, and code correctly
  • Help with sales invoicing, credit control, and general finance support
  • Cover phones and reception when needed

About You

  • Solid purchase ledger / accounts experience
  • Confident with Excel and finance systems (Sage experience ideal)
  • Down-to-earth, reliable, and a great team player
  • Enjoys a busy environment and a good laugh with colleagues
  • No formal finance qualifications needed - just strong experience
