Job Role: Bakery Cleaning Operative

Job Description:

Our client a reputable bakery in Burnley are seeking a team member to work on a part-time basis assisting with the cleaning of the bakery and its equipmen, playing a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, baking trays, and utensils to maintain cleanliness and readiness for use.
  • Clean and disinfect work surfaces, floors, and equipment according to bakery protocols.
  • Remove waste and recycling promptly to keep the bakery clean and organized.
  • Assist with basic maintenance of cleaning equipment and report any issues to management.
  • Uphold health and safety standards and help ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations.
  • Work efficiently with the team to support smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or kitchen support (preferred but not required).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a hygienic and safe work environment.

Location: Burnley

Hours: 9-12 hrs per week (Thurs-Sat)

Salary: £11.44 per hour
