Description

Our client based in Skipton is looking to recruit a Night Shift Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis.

As a shift supervisor you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the evening warehouse activities. Your attention to detail, leadership skills, and commitment to quality will directly impact the customers’ satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using a catering software (training will be provided) and basic computer applications.
• Driven and Focused: A strong work ethic with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Meticulous in handling inventory, orders, and quality control.
• People Management Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team effectively.
• Ability to Work Under Pressure: Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ideally a food background to assist with product knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing nights operations: To ensure customers receive the highest quality produce and service.
• Order Checking: Verify accuracy and quality of orders before dispatch.
• Order picking: Assisting with picking of orders at times, where necessary.
• Deliveries: Receiving deliveries, checking for quality and quantity and assisting with putting produce away, ensuring correct rotation of stock.
• Data inputting: Accurately input data onto the catering software and use basic office applications.
• Maintain High Standards of Cleanliness: Oversee cleanliness and hygiene inside and outside the warehouse.
• Warehouse management: Organising the warehouse to ensure smooth running and health and safety is adhered to.
• Role Assignment: Assign roles and duties to team, ensuring competence and efficiency.
• Team Supervision: Be the point of contact for team members, addressing queries and concerns.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs, and deliver training as required.
• Communication: Communicate product changes, quality issues, and other relevant information to the team. Collaborate with other supervisors’ managers and departments.
• Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing new policies and procedures.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all colleagues adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Hours would be 5 days out of 6 on a rota basis – 40rs excluding breaks 19:30>04:00
Starting wage would be £550 and could be reviewed.
