Homeless Hostel Service High Occupancy 60 Residents

12pm to 8pm

Contract
Temporary or ongoing agency work
Essential Requirements
Minimum 6 months experience in homelessness mental health or substance misuse services
Proven experience managing challenging behaviour and high risk individuals
Strong resilience emotional robustness and ability to remain professional under pressure
Ability to manage a demanding caseload in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills and confident decision making
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Full right to work in the UK
The Role
This is a frontline high intensity role within a busy homeless hostel operating at full capacity. The environment is complex unpredictable and high risk. This is not a soft support role.
Key responsibilities include
Managing a high volume caseload of residents with complex mental health and substance misuse needs
De escalating challenging and sometimes aggressive behaviour
Supporting residents with crisis intervention harm reduction and risk management
Completing accurate detailed case notes and incident reports
Working closely with external agencies including mental health teams drug and alcohol services and housing providers
Maintaining professional boundaries at all times
