Essential Requirements
Experience working within housing support, homelessness services, or supported living
Knowledge of benefits, Universal Credit and PIP
Experience supporting individuals with budgeting and independent living skills
Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable adults
Good written and verbal communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred

The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Officer to work within an independent move on service supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness. The service supports residents to build the skills and confidence needed to maintain their own tenancy and move forward into independent living.

Duties will include supporting residents with day to day living skills, budgeting, managing finances and accessing benefits such as Universal Credit and PIP. You will also assist with tenancy related support, signposting to external services, and helping residents work towards personal goals around independence, wellbeing and stability.

This role requires someone who can build strong professional relationships, encourage positive outcomes and provide practical guidance to individuals transitioning into independent accommodation.
