FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative

Location: Steeton, BD20
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + overtime opportunities
Hours: Monday to Friday, with Saturday overtime available when required
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Overview

Rotherwood Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Steeton.

This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy warehouse and production environment, offering the opportunity to become a key member of the logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of materials, stock control, goods inward processing, dispatch activities, and supporting production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Pivot Steer and Counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently
• Receiving, unloading, and storing incoming deliveries
• Supplying materials and components to production areas as required
• Recording stock movements accurately using company systems
• Maintaining stock accuracy and assisting with stock checks and stock takes
• Supporting goods inward and dispatch operations
• Ensuring warehouse housekeeping and safety standards are maintained
• Following company quality procedures and waste management processes
• Assisting with general warehouse and production support duties as required

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment
• Valid Pivot Steer and Counterbalance FLT licences
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the business
• Strong understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
