Overview

Rotherwood Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Sales Order Processor to join a well-established business based in Nelson.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual with previous sales administration or customer service experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently
• Verify order details, pricing, product availability, and delivery requirements
• Liaise with customers regarding order queries, amendments, and delivery updates
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely order fulfilment
• Generate quotations, invoices, and order confirmations
• Maintain accurate customer and order records using internal systems
• Monitor order progress and resolve any issues or delays
• Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email
• Provide administrative support to the sales team
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and service standards

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in Sales Order Processing, Sales Administration, or Customer Service
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Confident communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environment
• Knowledge of stock control or logistics processes
