Our client based on the outskirts of Keighley is looking to recruit a Design Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.

OVERVIEW; Produce designs, layouts, drawings and costed bills of materials for the company’s existing and special products.

DUTIES;
• Responsible for the creation of new product design coupled with full manufacturing and assembly drawings using solid works.
• The production of bought out material list with cost analysis.
• The evaluation of current components and system to ensure that the best option in terms of performance and cost are used.
• Close liaison with sales and customer to ensure that the customers remit is fully complied with.
• Provide fully costed estimates as and when required using in house data and outside sources as needed.

SKILLS;
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Cooperation with all departments coupled with a determination to ensure your ideas and suggestion is fully considered.
• Thorough knowledge of all solid works programmes and the determination to so use.
• Electromechanical and hydraulic knowledge used in mobile lifting equipment.
• Working knowledge of the manufacturing processes fabrication machining and assembly of heavy equipment.
• FEM as used in solid works.

QUALIFICATIONS;
• HND/HNC level.
• Experience in a similar design manufacturing environment.

Salary - £35k to £45k depending on experience.
