Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time / Casual  Available
Hours: Flexible shifts including weekends

We are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join a residential care setting providing residential, dementia, respite, and palliative care support to residents in a safe, compassionate, and person-centred environment.

This role involves delivering high-quality care to individuals with varying support needs, promoting dignity, comfort, wellbeing, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Support residents with day-to-day living activities while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Deliver companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Support individuals living with dementia and complex care needs using a person-centred approach.
  • Assist with meal support, daily routines, and maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
  • Provide sensitive and compassionate end-of-life and palliative care support where required.
  • Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high standards of care.

Requirements

  • Previous care experience is essential.
  • Experience within residential, dementia, elderly, or palliative care settings is preferred.
  • A caring, compassionate, and reliable approach.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, dignity in care, and person-centred support.
  • Drivers preferred due to location and shift requirements.
