Our client based in Keighley is looking to recruit an Assembly Operator on a full-time basis.
The role is initially on an ongoing temporary basis and will be reviewed after a period of three months; at which point may be made permanent.
• Assemble predominantly metal components & parts following detailed instructions, process control documents (PCD) and drawings
• Ensuring all assemblies meet quality & safety standards
• Assemble piece parts for specific customers with the highest attention to detail.
• Working on hydraulic press machines as well as manual machines and tools.
• Perform a variety of tasks associated with Assembly as instructed by the Assembly Manager ensuring set targets for each task are met or exceeded.
• Assemble in conjunction with documentation provided such as specifications, operator schedules, route cards, and drawings plus verbal instructions, where required.
• As the task requires and where qualified, set up and operate machines and equipment as appropriate.
• Responsible for the standard/quality of both your output and the end product you produce.
• Participate fully, as and when required, when being trained in assembly tasks you are unfamiliar with. You may be required to work in any assembly operator role and are expected to be flexible in learning any assembly roles that are new to you.
• Responsible for your actions and ensuring you do not endanger yourself or others. Actively ensure safe working practices are maintained for you and also in your area. Keep a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of 5S standards and continuous improvement and contribute where possible to improve all aspects of work
• Adhere to company policy and operate in line with your Contract of Employment and the Company Handbook at all times.
Experience/Skills:
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to focus on intricate details and identify discrepancies or errors.
• Able to interpret drawings.
• Able to handle repetitive tasks without loss of motivation or focus.
• Dependable in completing tasks consistently and meeting deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to maintain high levels of concentration for extended periods
• Ability to collaborate with others and contribute to a positive work environment while managing individual tasks.
• Willing to undergo training to enhance skills relevant to intricate task management.

• Good verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of people.

Appropriate training will be provided to the successful candidate. Previous experience in Assembly operations is essential.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 37 hours per week (9.25 hours per day)
Hourly Rate: NLW or NMW as applicable.
