Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen within a growing fuel company’s team for a dynamic Sales Executive with a strong background in the fuel industry. This full-time, permanent position offers a varied, challenging, and rewarding role where the focus is on delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales growth. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding market presence and building lasting client relationships.
Role and Responsibilities: As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for both account management and business development. This includes engaging with new and existing clients, managing sales inquiries, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery. The role involves cold calling, lead generation, and contributing to larger project quotes, alongside managing sales activities across the company’s product and service portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold calling from data lists and online resources to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Handle inbound sales calls, cross-selling products and services from the company’s portfolio.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients, identifying further sales opportunities.
- Make outbound calls to assigned customers, promoting additional services and products.
- Support Project Planners and Project Managers in quoting for larger projects.
- Accurately compile quotes in the company’s Big Change system, ensuring customer data, purchase orders, and pricing are correct.
- Follow new customer and credit checking procedures.
- Collaborate with marketing campaigns to set appointments for sales staff.
- Generate and develop leads under the guidance of your line manager.
- Report on inbound marketing opportunities and work with the marketing team to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and community events to promote the business.
- Investigate and resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
About You: The ideal candidate will have a proven background in sales, with specific experience in the fuel industry and B2B sales. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and have excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage accounts and drive growth.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, specifically B2B sales.
- Experience in the fuel industry is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to connect with diverse clients.
- Proven ability to generate leads and manage sales processes.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling quotes and customer data.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including project planners, managers, and marketing.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of troubleshooting customer service issues.
- Confidence in cold calling and proactive sales outreach.
