Position Details:

• Job Title: Science Teacher
• Location: Burnley, Lancashire
• Start Date: After October Half Term 2025
• Contract Type: Part-time (3 days per week), ongoing
• Daily Rate: £168 – £215 per day

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and informative Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Plan and adapt lessons to suit varying learning needs and abilities
• Inspire a genuine interest in Biology, Chemistry and Physics through practical and theoretical approaches
• Monitor and track student progress, offering meaningful feedback to support improvement
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the wider Science department
• Support the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
• Possess strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum (KS3 & KS4)
• Be confident in planning and delivering effective, inclusive, and differentiated lessons
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Be committed to raising standards and inspiring a love of learning in Science
• Promote safeguarding and wellbeing across all aspects of the role
