Credit Controller (Maternity Cover - 12 Months)

Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months) | £25,300 – £30,000 DOE

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join their friendly, well-established business on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This role will support the online and retail side of the company, working with a mix of small and large customers. You’ll be handling credit control duties, resolving queries, and managing account reconciliations confidently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the credit control process for a portfolio of customers
• Handle queries professionally via phone and email
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Accurately allocate customer payments and receipts
• Prepare documentation for credits and invoices
• Send statements and follow up to ensure prompt payments
• Use Excel for reporting and reconciliations
• Access and manage information via customer portals
• Assist with basic accountancy tasks such as:
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Month-end processes (training provided if required)

About You:

• Previous experience in a credit control role
• Confident with Excel (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent reconciliation skills
• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your workload effectively
• Comfortable communicating with a variety of customers
• Experience using customer portals (preferred)
