Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-supported primary school in Rawtenstall. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026, running for 12 months.

Daily Rate: £168.80 – £215.68 per day

About the Role:

Deliver engaging and thought provoking lessons aligned to the National Curriculum
Plan and prepare high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities
Promote critical thinking, tolerance, and cultural understanding
Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Behaviour management and classroom organisation
Contribute to wider school activities and departmental development
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have recent experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6

Be confident supporting SATs preparation and curriculum content

Possess strong behaviour management and classroom presence

Be flexible, proactive, and confident working both independently and as part of a team

Be committed to supporting all learners and raising achievement
