Sustainability & Customer Quality Co-ordinator
Location: North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Shift: Mon – Thurs, 7:30am – 5:30pm (38hr week)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability & Customer Quality Co-ordinator to join a leading UK manufacturer. This role is central to aligning sustainability and quality performance across the supply chain - ensuring compliance with international frameworks and supporting the organisation’s drive towards Net Zero.
The successful candidate will serve as the link between suppliers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring that sustainability goals and customer quality requirements are met efficiently and transparently.

Key Responsibilities
• Support and coordinate activities across CSR, CCF, PCF, ESG, CSRD, CBAM, and ESOS initiatives.
• Engage with suppliers and customers to establish, verify, and report accurate carbon data.
• Assist Quality Engineers with customer-specific requirements for New Product Introduction (NPI), projects, and feasibility studies.
• Contribute to sustainability reporting and drive continuous improvement in carbon reduction and resource efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and sustainability verification frameworks.
• Promote ethical sourcing and environmental stewardship across the value chain.

About You
You’ll be a proactive and organised individual who can manage multiple priorities in a technical, time-sensitive environment. You’re motivated by sustainability, quality, and collaboration.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Manufacturing/Automotive background
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality engineering or sustainability.
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) principles (ISO 14040/14044).
• Understanding of ISO 14065, ISO 14066, and ISO 14067 standards.
• Skilled in carbon footprint quantification and validation/verification methods.
• Experience with automotive core tools, 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa problem solving.
• Strong time management using S.M.A.R.T. goals.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
Desirable:
• Maths A-level or equivalent.
• Experience with ESOS, CSRD, NPI/NPO, feasibility and capability studies.
• Carbon literacy certification.
