Rotherwood Education are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to join one of our valued partner schools in Haslingden. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed school environment – all while being part of a supportive facilities team.

 

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Site Supervisor
  • Location: Haslingden
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (1 month initially, with potential for extension)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Daily Rate: £97.69 – £110 per day

 

About the Role:

As Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and security of the school premises. From minor repairs and general maintenance to managing site access and ensuring health & safety procedures are followed, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and safely.

You’ll work closely with the wider school team and may also liaise with contractors or suppliers when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs around the site
  • Ensuring all areas of the school are clean, safe, and secure
  • Opening and locking the premises, managing site access as required
  • Responding promptly to urgent maintenance or health & safety issues
  • Supporting with classroom setups and preparing shared spaces
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance needs
  • Liaising with external contractors and suppliers when necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in a facilities, caretaker, or site supervisor role (ideally in a school setting)
  • Be knowledgeable about building maintenance, health & safety, and compliance standards
  • Be confident carrying out minor repairs and practical site duties
  • Be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
  • Demonstrate good communication and organisational skills
  • Be flexible with a proactive, can-do attitude
