Description

Quality Assurance Manager – Children’s Residential Services

Location: Lancashire & West Yorkshire (travel between services required)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree/NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent

  • Management diploma or equivalent

  • Enhanced DBS check

  • Clean, current driving licence

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in children’s residential care

  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience

  • Strong knowledge of childcare legislation including the Children Act 2004 and Children’s Home Regulations 2015

  • Experience working with quality systems and processes

  • Proven track record of maintaining regulatory compliance

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

The Role:

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Monitor and audit care quality across all residential homes, ensuring regulatory standards are met or exceeded

  • Support Registered Managers and senior leaders in completing action plans and improving services

  • Develop and implement systems to measure care quality and young people’s outcomes

  • Lead reflective practice sessions and promote Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

  • Conduct investigations and produce comprehensive reports

  • Prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Board reports and compliance updates

  • Support the opening of new homes, ensuring robust monitoring systems are in place

  • Drive safeguarding best practice through audits and challenge where necessary

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ofsted, CIW, and other key agencies

  • Coach and mentor managers to ensure effective leadership across services
