Quality Assurance Manager – Children’s Residential Services
Location: Lancashire & West Yorkshire (travel between services required)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent
Essential Requirements:
-
Degree/NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent
-
Management diploma or equivalent
-
Enhanced DBS check
-
Clean, current driving licence
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in children’s residential care
-
Minimum 2 years’ management experience
-
Strong knowledge of childcare legislation including the Children Act 2004 and Children’s Home Regulations 2015
-
Experience working with quality systems and processes
-
Proven track record of maintaining regulatory compliance
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
The Role:
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will:
-
Monitor and audit care quality across all residential homes, ensuring regulatory standards are met or exceeded
-
Support Registered Managers and senior leaders in completing action plans and improving services
-
Develop and implement systems to measure care quality and young people’s outcomes
-
Lead reflective practice sessions and promote Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
-
Conduct investigations and produce comprehensive reports
-
Prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Board reports and compliance updates
-
Support the opening of new homes, ensuring robust monitoring systems are in place
-
Drive safeguarding best practice through audits and challenge where necessary
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with Ofsted, CIW, and other key agencies
-
Coach and mentor managers to ensure effective leadership across services
