Essential Requirements

Experience working within homelessness services, supported housing, social care, or a similar environment
Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs such as mental health, substance misuse, trauma, or offending history
Ability to manage safeguarding concerns and respond to crisis situations calmly and professionally
Strong understanding of professional boundaries and safeguarding procedures
Experience completing incident reports, handovers and maintaining accurate records
Confidence working during night shifts and making independent decisions
Right to work in the UK

The Role

Rotherwood Cares are recruiting a Night Supervisor for a supported housing service in Lancaster supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

The role involves overseeing the night service, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, and supporting the night team to maintain a safe, calm and well managed environment throughout the night.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting the night team to ensure smooth overnight operations
Providing person centred support to residents during night hours
Responding to welfare concerns, incidents and emergencies appropriately
Monitoring building safety including security checks, fire safety checks and general building audits
Maintaining accurate night logs, incident reports and handovers for the day team
Supporting safeguarding processes and escalating concerns when required
Ensuring the building remains safe, clean and well maintained overnight
