Drivers Only or Local to the Area

Are you a reliable and compassionate support worker looking for a rewarding new role? We are currently recruiting for day and night shift support workers in Clitheroe to support children through a 6-week intensive behaviour support programme.

These children present with aggressive behaviours and require consistent, trauma-informed care and strong role models who can remain calm, composed, and firm when needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 2:1 support to young people aged 8–16

  • Supporting both waking night and day shifts as part of a structured care rota

  • Using positive behaviour support techniques and non-violent crisis intervention approaches

  • Supporting children with routines, de-escalation, and emotional regulation

  • Documenting all behaviours, interventions, and observations accurately

  • Working in partnership with social workers, teachers, and other professionals

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in residential childcare, youth work, or behaviour support

  • Full UK driving licence or living locally to Clitheroe

  • Confidence in dealing with aggressive or unpredictable behaviour

  • Commitment to working in a trauma-informed, person-centred way

  • Emotional strength, patience, and a team-first attitude

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-energy, high-impact settings and is confident supporting children through challenging emotional journeys.
