Position Details:

• Job Title: Business Teacher
• Location: Burnley, Lancashire
• Start Date: January 2026
• Contract Type: Full-time, temporary (until Easter 2026)
• Daily Rate: £168 – £215 per day

About the Role:

• Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and real-world application
• Teach across a range of abilities and support students in achieving their academic potential
• Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback to aid improvement
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies
• Encourage a positive learning environment where all students feel challenged and supported

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
• Have strong subject knowledge in Business Studies (KS4 & KS5)
• Be confident in delivering both GCSE and A-Level content
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring student interest in business and enterprise
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the wellbeing of all learners
