Location: Blackburn, with travel to other college and employer sites across Lancashire
Hours: 4–5 days per week (Tuesday–Thursday)
Start: Immediate
Duration: Temporary, until permanent post is filled

About the Role:
Rotherwood Education is seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Training & Development Coach to provide temporary cover for our Children & Young People Level 4 and Level 5 apprenticeship provision. This is a hands-on role, requiring someone who can step into an active caseload and teaching timetable from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned teaching and learning sessions, including small group workshops and knowledge-based classes
  • Conduct regular workplace coaching sessions and progress reviews

  • Assess and coach apprentices against Level 4 and Level 5 CYP standards

  • Map evidence to KSBs and provide developmental feedback

  • Set SMART targets and monitor progress

  • Prepare learners for EPA

  • Maintain compliant records on OneFile/e-portfolio systems

  • Support timely achievement and retention

  • Work independently with employers and apprentices across multiple settings

Essential Requirements:

  • Assessor qualification (CAVA/A1 or equivalent)

  • Recent experience delivering Children & Young People Level 4 and/or Level 5 apprenticeship standards

  • Experience conducting apprenticeship progress reviews and workplace assessments

  • Experience planning and delivering teaching and learning sessions/workshops

  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional judgement

  • Ability to manage an active caseload independently from day one

  • Own transport and willingness to travel to employer sites

Person Profile:
We are seeking someone who:

  • Can hit the ground running

  • Has worked in apprenticeship delivery previously (not classroom-only FE teaching)

  • Is confident balancing teaching, coaching, and assessment

  • Is comfortable working autonomously in employer settings
