Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a well-established and supportive Early Years setting in the Burnley area.

The role is part-time and is due to start in September 2026 on an ongoing basis.

Pay Rate: £12.16 - £14.24 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

  • Support the learning, care and development of children within the Early Years setting.
  • Plan and deliver engaging play-based learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
  • Promote children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy and personal, social and emotional development.
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress, contributing to learning journals and next-step planning.
  • Prepare stimulating learning environments and resources that encourage exploration and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality early years education and care.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and other professionals.
  • Support children's personal care needs where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour while ensuring the safeguarding, health, safety and wellbeing of all children.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Must Have:

  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
  • Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and child development.
  • Be confident planning and supporting learning through play.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
  • Provide details of the latest two references, covering the last five years' work history.
  • Possess a current DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one as part of the registration process.
  • Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy all relevant compliance checks.
