Our client based in Skipton is looking to recruit a Press Operator on a permanent basis.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The day-to-day press machine setting & operation, clean down / maintenance, product inspection, packing & product flow.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up & operate the press machine.
• Inspection of manufactured parts & material prior production run.
• Inspection of completed batches prior to packing.
• Report on any defects, machine issues or packing requirements.

OTHER TASKS
• Continual production processing & product flow including machine & area clean down / maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes is an advantage but not essential, a willingness to work is more important.
• The operation is at a basic level so it would suit someone wanting to start in manufacturing or is looking for a basic operative role or has specific job-related support requirements.
• All training will be provided as required.

This is a permanent position, subject to a 3-month trial period.
Hours: 16 hours per week minimum - work hours can be tailored to suit.
Salary: Approximately £13.00 per hour dependent on experience.
