Senior Manager – (Children’s Residential Services)
Location: North West England (with travel to homes across the region)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent
Essential Requirements:
-
Management qualification (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare / NVQ Level 4)
-
Full driving licence
-
At least 3 years’ experience working with BESD children within the past 5 years
-
At least 2 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within residential care
-
Proven track record of achieving a minimum ‘Good’ rating in Ofsted inspections
-
Strong knowledge of Quality Standards, Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and child protection legislation
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
The Role:
As Senior Manager of the Nurture Hub, you will:
-
Lead, inspire, and support teams delivering therapeutic care for children aged 11–18 with complex trauma histories
-
Uphold and promote organisational values, vision, and ethos
-
Ensure robust safeguarding measures are in place and consistently applied
-
Take ownership of budgets, resources, and operational delivery for your allocated home
-
Implement strong quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
-
Work collaboratively with Local Authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders
-
Support neighbouring homes to achieve registration and improve Ofsted ratings
-
Provide strategic guidance to teams, mentoring new managers and developing staff capability
