Yard Operative – Builders Merchant

Our client based in Skipton is looking for a Full Time Yard Operative to work in their busy Timber department.

Job role entails: -

• Heavy lifting - Helping load customer vehicles (trade and retail)
• Supplier deliveries - Checking goods in / unloading goods
• Delivery service - Loading deliveries for our transport department
• Customer orders - Preparing orders for both trade and retail
• Include calculating measurements & quantities
• Machining required

Key Skills:

• Excellent customer service
• Be reliable, motivated, and organised
• Have the ability to work well within a team
• Forklift licence preferred
• Good product knowledge would be an advantage
• The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a timber or builder’s merchant

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm, alternative Saturdays 9.00am to 12noon.

Salary: From £21000 per annum depending experience
