The Business
The Company is part of a Group of Companies specialising in all aspects of property purchase & management. They have offices based in Burnley and in Middlesbrough and manage a large portfolio of properties in both regions.
The role:
- Day to day reactive maintenance repairs within occupied domestic houses in the social housing sector. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters. You will also operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.
As a skilled operative, you will be expected to have a multitude of skills to enable you to perform your tasks. We will expect the candidate to have a background in either plumbing, joinery or plastering.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who can show initiative, can communicate well with colleagues and customers and completes jobs to a good standard.
All applicants must have a valid driving license, own van and tools
This is the ideal position for someone who has been self-employed now looking for a full-time permanent role. The individual must be proactive and able to identify issues quickly and remedy effectively.
Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate must have their own transport, ideally a van which can be used and insured for work purposes. In the event weather is a factor, we can facilitate other works internally to ensure continuous workflow.
