Stores (SMT) Operative

Job Title: Stores Operative

Responsible to: Operations Manager

Description:

An excellent opportunity to join an innovative business, creating ground breaking digitally controlled analogue audio technology, supplying clients world-wide. This role will involve being part of a team of creative individuals to assist in delivering the best audio consoles and maintaining high quality manufacturing. The ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment and with a keen eye for detail is key to this role. Common sense and flexibility is a must.

Main Responsibilities:

·To maintain stores within a busy SMT department

·To prepare or seek preparation of materials and kitting aids prior to job assembly

·Kitting of SMT parts and setting up the feeders/trollies

·Setting up and de-kitting of the Surface Mount Machines

·Performing to a schedule from a planned production output

·To ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are always maintained

·To assist in the department as instructed by the production supervisor

·To assist in other departments when required

The Ideal Candidate:

·Keen eye for detail

·Must be able to use computer databases e.g. excel

·Ability to keep control of stock through a thorough booking in and out process

·Knowledge of SMT would be an advantage but not essential

·Basic knowledge of electronics and PCB’s would be ideal

·Ability to work under pressure to meet production targets

Rate of Pay:

From £10.42 per hour dependent on experience

Hours of Work:

Mon - Thurs 7.50am-5.10pm

Fri- 7.50am-12.30pm
