Description
Our client based in Keighley is looking to recruit a Shop Floor Supervisor on a full time, temporary basis.
This role is initially for 3 months but could lead to permanent for the right candidate.
The duties for the shopfloor supervisor are:
- Organise, motivate, and lead the production teams in line with targets, customer deadlines and expectations and KPI's. Achieve production requirements within agreed timescales costs and quality levels.
- To work and to execute the plan set out by the production department.
- Understand and ensure adherence to Company Manufacturing Systems and Procedures (including H&S procedures and policies and safe systems of working).
- Audit and oversee compliance and adherence to agreed/expected quality standards for each stage of the process, intervene as appropriate to ensure these standards are met or exceeded at all times.
- To ensure that all staff clearly understand their duties and responsibilities.
- Support the production manager in monitoring the capabilities and outputs of those within the team and identify training needs such that the performance of the individual and the team are optimised.
- Ensure appropriate daily communication happens in line with the Team Leader responsibility e.g., beginning of shift briefing.
- To plan the production labour resource, manage overtime and costs to increase productivity.
- To support the successful development of apprentices to ensure they are carrying out valuable work and successfully complete their apprenticeship.
- To flexibly undertake any other duties similar with this level of post, according to the needs of the business.
Hours of work - 37.33 and specific hours of work are 8.00am to 12.00pm and 12.30pm to 16.25pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 11.30am and 11.50am to 14.00pm on Friday.
Rate of pay - £18.03 to £19.58 per hour
