Description

We are working alongside a leading Engineering Company in Burnley specialising in the Automotive industry.
Due to company expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team.

Role Objective:

The role of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is to ensure all systems meet the requirements of ISO9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management standards.

You will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the Management systems across all areas of the business, through awareness, training, coaching, and auditing.

You will ensure that all customer specific requirements are built into the management system and implemented throughout the business.

You will be responsible for driving adherence to the business management system through leading our internal audit programme, developing the internal audit team, supporting the non-conformity closure, and providing training and coaching business wide.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure full integration and implementation of ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO14001, and ISO145001
  • Ensure training is provided to all personnel on specific processes and procedures, and training records are maintained
  • Write / Update processes and procedures
  • Ensure the BMS is maintained to always meet any new requirements from our standards
  • Ensure any new or changes customer specific requirements are reviewed and effectively built into the BMS

  • Motivate and coach the wider team to operational success
  • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
  • Review, implement and update company records e.g., training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
  • Lead the team in new product and process introduction
  • Responsible for training out of new or changed processes with documentation in place and records of training conducted and effectiveness validated

  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and other service providers when required
  • Be an effective team member, working with supervisor and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output
  • Supervise sub-contractors
