Description
We're working with an established manufacturer, based in Ilkley, to source a Planner to join the team on temp-to-perm basis. You will be working closely with the Production Manager to make sure that all departments are working together so that products are manufactured correctly and in time to meet any deadlines. The products the company makes are mainly mild steel involving MIG and TIG welding.
The role would suit someone who has been working on the shop floor in a supervisory capacity and also has the skills to work in the office. A significant part of the role will involve producing plans using Excel based on information provided by internal systems with regards to customer requirements. Therefore, it's important that you are a capable user of IT as well as have a good understanding of how a manufacturing facility operates. You will be the main link between sales, production, and the back office. Any experience with systems such as Monday.com would be an advantage. If you haven't been responsible for producing these types of plans yourself before, you will receive full training.
