Description

Our client based in Bingley is looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician on a full time, temporary to permanent basis.

Duties will include:

  • Responding to machinery/electrical breakdowns, providing ongoing maintenance to machinery and general building, completing diagnostics and project work as required.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Report to the engineering manager
  • Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests
  • Carry out multi skilled activities within the engineering remit
  • Willingness to undertake out of hours working on a call-out basis
  • Be proactive in new innovations and improved systems
  • Participate with the on-site/external training as and when required.

 

Knowledge, Experience / Skills needed:

 

  • Electrically biased & appropriately qualified (E.G. City & Guilds Electrical)
  • A good knowledge of health and safety
  • Ability to handle tools correctly and safely
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Multi skilled and computer literate
  • Appropriate experience within the engineering field
  • People management and prioritising skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift heavy engineering parts
  • Must be able to work in restricted/confined spaces
  • Must be able to work at height on ladders and/or MEWPs.

 

Hours of work - 06:00 to 14:15 or 14:00 to 20:15 shifts, plus a requirement to be on standby/call out duties on a rota basis.

 

Rate of pay - £32,000.
