Management Accountant

Job Purpose:
To work as an efficient and effective member of the team, perform all duties and tasks to a high standard in compliance with individual, team and department objectives.
Main Duties:
- To produce the monthly management accounts for review by the FC.
- To provide full Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- To maintain all aspects of stock relating to the management accounts including GRNI, adjustments & provisions.
- To maintain both supplier & customer rebates.
- To maintain and update the control accounts, including the calculation of accruals and prepayments.
- To maintain the vehicle registers and any associated costs.
- To manage the day-to-day processing of trade loans and import payments.
- To mentor and support the purchase ledger team effectively.
- Implement a consistent appraisal programme, monitoring shortfalls in performance and taking the required action where applicable.
- Negotiate payment terms with suppliers.
- To prepare and submit the annual P11D submissions.
- Completion & submission of the quarterly VAT returns.
- To assist with the year-end audit.
- To provide support and cover to the wider team, and to input into adhoc projects when required.
- To work at any of the sites as directed by a Manager.
- Ensure responsibility for self and others with regards to Health & Safety.
- To carry out any reasonable request that may be asked of you by any member of Management.
