Description
Our client is a well-established woodworking and joinery company, dedicated to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. They specialise in creating bespoke wood products for both residential and commercial projects.
They are looking for a joinery Workshop Supervisor, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations and efficiency of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate and manage a team of joiners and apprentices, fostering a positive and collaborative work
- Delegate tasks efficiently and provide clear instructions to team members
- Production management
- Plan and organize daily production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards
- Monitor workflow and production progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Quality control
- Ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications and company standards
- Conduct inspections of completed work to identify and address any defects or issues promptly.
- Health & Safety
- Ensure that all workshop activities comply with health & safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all
- Investigate and report and accidents or incidents that may occur within the workshop to the necessary Health and safety
- Resource Management
- Efficiently manage materials, equipment and resources to optimise productivity and reduce wastage
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure an adequate supply of materials in a timely
- Continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative ideas to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices to implement relevant improvements in the workshop
Skills:
- Proven experience as a bench joiner (10 yrs practical experience)
- Strong leadership
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities

Hours: Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.00pm
Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
