Description

Our client is a well-established woodworking and joinery company, dedicated to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. They specialise in creating bespoke wood products for both residential and commercial projects.

They are looking for a joinery Workshop Supervisor, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations and efficiency of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership
    1. Lead, motivate and manage a team of joiners and apprentices, fostering a positive and collaborative work
    2. Delegate tasks efficiently and provide clear instructions to team members
  • Production management
    1. Plan and organize daily production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards
    2. Monitor workflow and production progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Quality control
    1. Ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications and company standards
    2. Conduct inspections of completed work to identify and address any defects or issues promptly.
  • Health & Safety
    1. Ensure that all workshop activities comply with health & safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all
    2. Investigate and report and accidents or incidents that may occur within the workshop to the necessary Health and safety
  • Resource Management
    1. Efficiently manage materials, equipment and resources to optimise productivity and reduce wastage
    2. Coordinate with other departments to ensure an adequate supply of materials in a timely
  • Continuous improvement
    1. Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative ideas to enhance productivity and product quality.
    2. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices to implement relevant improvements in the workshop

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a bench joiner (10 yrs practical experience)
  • Strong leadership

Hours: Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.00pm

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
