The Business

The Company is part of a Group of Companies specialising in all aspects of property purchase & management. They have offices based in Burnley and in Middlesbrough and manage a large portfolio of properties in both regions. Recently, they have just celebrated their 2000+ property mark as a Group!

The Company offer a fully client based serviced approach to investing in properties, acquiring properties from the open market, renovating them to a set standard, passing them onto the lettings department for maintenance and management and then re-selling the properties to investors.

They retain full management of the property. They have various different departments, including Property Surveyance, Renovations, Lettings, Maintenance, Rent Collections, Property Management, Legal and Sales & Marketing.

The Role
This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity for a friendly, pro-active individual who enjoys working with people and is highly organised.  You will mainly lead activities in administration of human resources as well as assisting office management duties and key operational support to the Company.

You will be required to travel to our North-East branch based in Middlesbrough in order to establish key relations and offer operational support, so a car owner is necessary.

The ideal candidate must be a motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual who is professional and an excellent team-player. It is desirable (but not requisite) that the candidate has previous experience in similar roles/activities. You will report directly to the Office & HR Manager.

HR Responsibilities

  1. Manage and maintain online HR system records for all staff
  2. Recruitment pipeline (posting job Ads, reviewing and interviewing candidates, interviews)
  3. 1-2-1s and Appraisals guidance & HR inductions
  4. Support the HR team with employee relations issues; take minutes during meetings and produce appropriate correspondence
  5. Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
  6. Overseeing exit interviews and completing leavers processes
  7. Maintaining department records and reports
  8. Participating in administrative staff meetings
  9. Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
  10. Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures
  11. Offering Administrative support to the operations team
  12. Diary Management of Directors/PA Secretarial Duties

Operational Responsibilities

  1. Support with the administration of the Renovations and Maintenance Operational Structure
  2. Responsible for ensuring procedures and health and safety protocols are followed up/scheduled for managers
  3. Ensuring key procedures and protocols are adhered and follow up with Key Managers
  4. Ensuring key meetings are diaries and scheduled and meeting minutes are taken

Office Management Responsibilities

  1. Management of Health and Safety Protocols are followed up in Offices
  2. Ensuring Training Requests are followed up
  3. Following protocol for Company equipment requests
  4. Organizing monthly lunches for both offices
  5. Organizing incentives for office environment (staff quiz, decorations of office on special occasions etc.)

  2. Organisational skills – be able to manage multiple projects, track projects and deliver results in a timely manner
  3. Interpersonal skills – approachable and friendly, be able to deal with others in a professional manner
