Rotherwood Recruitment are working with a well-established company in Keighley to recruit a Health & Safety Officer.
Ideally, the candidate will be NEBOSH qualified or working towards achieving this.
The role typically involves preparing health and safety strategies and developing policies; carrying out risk assessments; liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations; investigating any accidents on site and producing subsequent reports and recommendations; and carrying out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
Essential skills are attention to detail, patience and diplomacy, and the ability to understand industrial processes and analyse complex data. An investigative mind and an interest in current legislation is also required.
