This is an excellent opportunity to pursue a career in engineering testing and development activities within a successful and growing business. The role holder will report to a Senior Design Engineer who provides project oversite and support to a group of design engineers.
The successful candidate will likely have a general engineering background within an industrial manufacturing type environment with experience of working in a toolroom or manufacturing engineering support type role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Good all round practical hands-on mechanical engineering background with the ability to work alongside the design engineers and the shop floor production team.
•Ability to conduct product testing in a consistent and methodical process.
•Manufacture and modify small jigs and fixtures required by the engineering team.
•Experience working in an industrial manufacturing type environment.
•Multi-disciplined background with exposure to various manufacturing processes including pressing & swaging, small fabrications, measurement & inspection techniques plus the use of general machining equipment.
•A methodical worker with the ability to keep accurate records.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
•Ability to work independently to agreed deadlines.
•A natural problem solver who provides simple and robust solutions to the role.
•Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibilities.
•Must follow the company health & safety policies and procedures.
•Engineering apprentice trained B.Tec / NVQ Level 3 in an engineering manufacturing environment.
•Counterbalance FLT licence holder.
