Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Define and develop electrical design solutions across the following product range:

  • Shot blasting systems.
  • Spray wash systems.
  • Ultrasonic wash systems.

MAIN TASKS

  • Electrical design input of machine builds as required.
  • Produce electrical schematic drawings within SolidWorks Electrical 2D
  • Compile and structure BOM within the company ERP system.
  • Ensure System design & drawings inspection prior to release.
  • Provide feedback and rectify engineering drawings & Bill of Material errors.
  • Adhere to customer URS (User Requirement Specifications).
  • Attend production and design meetings as required.
  • Any task that is within your skill set and capabilities throughout the Company.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential Skills

  • Experience in using an electrical design software package, ideally SolidWorks electrical 2D, (or demonstrate the ability to learn Solidworks Electrical).
  • Should have worked within a manufacturing environment and have strong controls and system integration knowledge.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC control systems in terms of electrical design requirements.
  • Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or HND (/similar) with relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical design within a machine build environment.
  • Previous involvement in producing multilevel bill of materials (BOMS)
  • Good communications skills, with ability to communicate clearly to all levels from shop floor through to senior management.
  • Work to all current Health & Safety, environmental, quality, industrial specific and company standards.

 

Advantageous Skills

 

  • PLC programming capabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13849 control system functional safety calculations and risks assessments. Previous experience of producing these would be highly desirable.

Candidates with management / leadership experience will be considered for more senior roles.

This is a permanent position, subject to a 3 month trial period.

Hours:                   37.5 hour week

Salary:                   £35- £40,000.00 depending on experience.
