Desktop Support Engineer

Rotherwood Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company to find a Desktop Support Engineer.

Skills

Required - Windows, Active directory, Office 365, PC Hardware, TCP/IP

Desirable but not essential –Azure, Cisco

Initial Duties

Maintaining the company’s IT hardware assets (PCs, printers, Network devices)

Troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues, troubleshooting simple network issues.

Maintaining the company’s IT asset database

Assisting in Business and IT projects as required

Future Development

The candidate would be trained in ITIL to the Foundation level and any relevant Microsoft courses. The candidate would be supported in taking the associated exams and achieve certification should they wish.

Should the candidate show the aptitude, they would also be gradually introduced to the more business focused elements of IT such as ERP and Business process analysis.
