Role Overview:
As a Community Safety Officer, you will play a key role in reducing anti-social behavior (ASB), hate crime, and domestic abuse in local neighborhoods. You’ll collaborate with colleagues and partners to manage reports and ensure positive outcomes for residents and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a harm-centered approach within the community safety service.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, take statements, and prepare case files for legal proceedings.
- Utilise various tools and interventions to prevent and address ASB, domestic abuse, and hate crime.
- Work with key partners to develop innovative solutions to community safety challenges.
- Complete risk assessments, action plans, and safeguarding referrals.
- Manage your own caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain a visible presence in neighborhoods to foster positive relationships with residents.
- Accurately update IT systems and maintain detailed records.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and meticulous record-keeping.
Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence.

• Recognised qualification in Community Safety, ASB and Nuisance Management
Experience
(Essential)
• Experience of working in Social Housing.
• ASB case management as well as a good working knowledge of ASB legalisation and the tools used to tackle ASB in a social housing setting.
