Our client based on the outskirts of Keighley is looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.
Description of the role
- Maintain accounting records within Sage 200 including sales and purchase ledgers, bank accounts and nominal ledger.
- Credit control including processing customer receipts and communicating with customers to seek payments and/or sending payment demands where applicable to achieve monthly target set.
- Produce monthly debtor report and reconcile with bank.
- Produce monthly supplier payment report, pay and reconcile accounts.
- Product overseas supplier payment report and check foreign currency rates.
- Pay overseas suppliers via company’s overseas payment platforms.
- Assist with stock takes and maintaining component costs.
- Any other task commensurate with the role
Employee Specification
- 5 GCSE’s grades A-C, 4-9 including Maths and English, or equivalent
- AAT Level 2 in accounting
- Effective communicator – clear verbal and written skills
- Use of Accounting software
- Use of MS Office
- Numerical accuracy
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an account’s environment.
Hours of work: Full time, Monday to Friday but may consider someone on a part time basis.
Salary : £23,000 to £24,000.
